You Are Enough, Go Do It!

It’s quite common in the personal development community for people to express
their discontent of themselves. That is, that they are not good enough.
That they are unworthy, and so the must work on themselves in order to “become” worthy.

Here’s the thing – personal development is awesome, and I recommend it to pretty much anyone I meet. However, you must start with the following premise:
“I am enough”. Not tomorrow, not when you get your abs chiseled or achieve monk-like calmness. No. You are enough in this very moment.
You will continue to evolve, but at any given moment you are still enough.

Why do I say that?

Aren’t I supposed to suggest you develop yourself each and every day in order to become a better person? Thereby achieving greatness and happiness?

Yes, do that.
But, you will NEVER feel happy and fulfilled or achieve the slightest bit of success, if you will not accept who you are right now.
You must start by believing in yourself. You must start by never giving up on yourself, never striking yourself out. “I’m not good enough for her”, “I’m not qualified to run this company”, “I can’t consult, I’m not good enough yet”.
YES, YOU, FUCKING, ARE.

I’m not talking about living in dream land. I’m talking about believing in yourself.
You must believe in yourself, you must believe that you CAN make it.
Some things would require practice, work and yes.. personal development.
But there are so many things you could be doing right now. Things that currently reside outside of your comfort zone, but well within your reach.

In order to get to where you want to go, you must have enough faith in yourself to actually give yourself a shot. To give yourself a chance to prove yourself not only to the world, but to your own self.

The worst thing you can do to yourself is to disqualify yourself, not giving yourself a chance!
Can you grasp the absurdity of this notion?!
Most people don’t even get to be disqualified by others.
Most people disqualify themselves! robbing themselves of their opportunities.

I will conclude this post with the very same quote presented in the picture above:
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” – Wayne Gretzky
