Life has no perfect timing.
Things simply happen. You can plan all you want, but eventually, the randomness of life will smack you in the head.
I’m not particularly religious, but this quote from the book of Ecclesiastes, definitely hits home:
“Whoever watches the wind will not plant;
whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.
5 As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things.
6 Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed”
It pretty much means that those who try to predict the future are wasting their time. You can’t predict the future. There are too many variables that you have to consider in order to do so.
But what about planning ahead? you might ask.
Well, planning ahead has it’s merits, and in some cases it’s crucial
in order to achieve lofty goals. Yet the important thing here is your mindset.
You have to remember that no matter what you do, no matter how much you plan, no matter how much you wait, you might FAIL.
Failure is a possibility, and more often than not, it happens.
But failure isn’t a bad thing. Not at all. Failure is a teacher.
Failure enables you to take a moment, re-evaluate your current actions, and come up with a new, improved plan.
But here’s the thing – you HAVE to fail, in order to learn.
The probability for a straight-out success is extremely low.
Most of the highly successful people out there, have gotten where they are,
because they weren’t afraid to fail.
“I failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed” – Michael Jordan
So, I want you to embrace failure.
Embrace failure because it’s an essential part of SUCCESS.
If you will wait for the “right” time, in order to avoid failure,
you will find yourself failing all the same, simply later.
You don’t want to talk to this cute girl later.
You don’t want to ask for that raise later.
Because later, is the time for LOSERS.
That girl is now taken, that raise was given to someone else.
“Things may happen to those who wait, but only the things left
by those who hustle” – Abraham Lincoln.
You must fail FORWARD, you must fail a lot.
And in order to fail a lot, you must take a lot of action, RIGHT NOW.
There is no “right” time. The time is NOW.
Live in the moment, take action now.
Now is the only time we truly ever have.
